Why should Christians still talk about the blood even if it is taboo today?

Christians should still talk about the blood because Scripture makes it unavoidable: God demands a blood sacrifice for remission of sin, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Since life is in the blood, the blood is central to God's plan and cannot be bypassed or ignored, even when it is considered taboo.

Les explains that many people in our present time do not want to hear anything about the blood, and it has almost become taboo to talk about it. But he stresses that you cannot escape it in Scripture—you cannot go around it, over it, or under it; you have to face it head on. From the very onset of human experience, God has demanded a blood sacrifice before there can be a remission of sin. This goes back to His sovereign mind in creation: He put the life of living things in the blood. Science did not catch on to that until about World War II, that life is in the blood. It is His prescription, not anyone else's, that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness, and we cannot bypass it. Les also notes that the Jews under the safety of the blood did not deserve to be, but the blood applied to the door guaranteed their safety through their exercise of faith.
