What does the midpoint of the Tribulation trigger?
The midpoint of the Tribulation triggers the last half, which is beyond human description and is what Psalms 2 refers to as the wrath and vexation of God. At that point the Antichrist defiles the Temple and turns against the Jews, ending their semblance of religious freedom.
Les explains that the midpoint of the Tribulation is when the Antichrist will come in and defile the Temple, then turn on the Jews. Until then, the Jews have for the most part enjoyed a semblance of religious freedom during the first three and a half years, even though the world still sees war, famine, pestilence, and turmoil. At the midpoint, the last half is triggered, a period beyond human description that Psalms 2 refers to as the wrath and vexation of God. This also relates to Jesus' admonition in Matthew 24 about where the Jews are to flee when they leave Jerusalem.
