When was Jesus glorified according to the New Testament?
According to the New Testament record, Jesus was truly glorified when He defeated Satan at the cross through His death, burial, and resurrection. The glory that should follow also points to His coming Kingdom, which the Old Testament prophets could not fully comprehend.
Les explains from I Peter 1:10-11 that the Old Testament prophets searched diligently concerning the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. He identifies that glory as the future Kingdom when Christ would set up His rule. Yet Les also points to the New Testament record of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, teaching that Jesus was really glorified when He defeated Satan at the cross. The prophets could not put it all together, but the cross secured the victory, and the Kingdom glory remains promised.
