How did the Romans destroy the temple, according to Les?

The Romans destroyed the temple not merely by fire, but by literally dismantling it rock by rock and stone by stone. Soldiers had heard that gold was hidden between the building blocks, so they took the structure down stone by stone to reach it.

Les explains that while the Romans used a lot of fire, they did not simply burn the temple as Nebuchadnezzar had done. Nebuchadnezzar’s destruction was by fire because the temple was predominantly cedar wood and burned like a matchbox. The Romans literally dismantled that temple rock by rock and stone by stone. There were legendary stories that Roman soldiers had heard tons of gold was hidden between the building blocks, so they took it down stone by stone to go after that gold. Jesus had prophesied this, saying not one stone would be left upon another.
