Who will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years?
All believers of all the ages—those included in the first resurrection—will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years. This resurrection includes the redeemed from every era, and after it they receive rewards and share His reign during that thousand-year period.
Les explains that after this first resurrection, all believers of all the ages are going to rule and reign with Him for a thousand years. This is all in the first resurrection, as verse 6 says. He also notes that believers will come before the bema seat for rewards, which is why we are to work in the Lord's vineyard in this life, expecting rewards someday. Further, he points to I Corinthians 15, the great resurrection chapter, where Paul deals with resurrection in plain, simple language and uses common, everyday events to describe it, saying Christ has become the first fruits—plural—of them that slept, or of those who have died.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
