Will we sleep in heaven?
Scripture indicates there will be no night in heaven, so evidently we will not have to sleep or need rest. Instead, existence will be constant activity in God's presence, where He gives light and believers reign with Him forever. This is the promise given to believers.
Les teaches that because the text says there shall be no night, evidently we won't have to sleep or need rest; it will be constant activity. He acknowledges this may wear somebody out thinking about it, but the Word teaches it. In that eternal state, God gives light, so no candle or sun is needed, and believers reign with Him over the great new planet forever and ever. Les also notes that in eternity, which is a snap of the finger, each individual will know God personally face to face.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
