Will we need to sleep or rest in eternity?
There will be no night in eternity, so we will not have to sleep or need rest. Instead, we will experience constant activity in God's presence, where the Lord God gives light and believers reign with Him forever and ever.
Les explains that when the text says there shall be no night, evidently we won't have to sleep and won't need rest. He describes eternity as constant activity rather than inactivity. The same passage says they need no candle or light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign with Him over the new planet forever and ever. Les adds that even if billions participate, each individual remains personally known by God and will know Him personally.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
