What is beyond the farthest reaches of space?

God is beyond the farthest reaches of space. Space is so vast that something traveling at the speed of light can keep going and never come to its end, yet God is always beyond it. The infinity of God and of space is beyond human comprehension.

Les explains that when you try to think of the vastness of space, something going the speed of light can just keep going and never come to the end of it. As far as space goes, God is always beyond it. Les says that is beyond our comprehension; thinking about it can give you a headache because the infinity of God and of space is just beyond us. He notes that this little solar system, if God should see fit to destroy it, would be just a little blip. Verse 11 again says all these things shall be dissolved; the fervent heat will melt it down to nothing. Since all these things will be dissolved, Peter asks what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. Les says all Peter is saying is that since you are dealing with this kind of God, who is man to attempt to thwart Him or reject Him? It is foolishness, yet throughout human history the largest percentage of men have kept God out of their life. Les is alarmed about the younger generation, who seemingly have no concept of God, eternity, or spiritual things and live for the here and now and the gratification of the flesh; it is scary.
