What is going to happen to the whole universe?
The entire universe will be totally melted down and dissolved, as Scripture says the heavens will pass away with a great noise, the elements will melt with fervent heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. It will be brought back to the very God who created it.
Les explains that the day of the Lord begins the tribulation and continues all the way into eternity. Les says he is beginning to believe more and more that this whole universe is going to be totally melted down and brought right back to the very God that created it in the first place. He also recalls reading an article by a famous physicist who concluded that everything had come from an original source of light, and from that source all of the universe came into being.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
