Does the Old Testament give the kingdom a thousand-year time frame?
The Old Testament does not give the kingdom a thousand-year time frame. It prophesies the coming King and Kingdom and speaks of it as forever and eternal. The specific thousand-year duration is attached only when one gets to Revelation, not in the Old Testament.
Les explains that after the seven-year tribulation, Christ returns, destroys the remaining rebellious armies, and the earth is restored to an Eden-like condition. Then comes the thousand years. He notes that the Kingdom and the coming King were prophesied all through the Old Testament, when Israel shall reign gloriously. However, it is not until Revelation that a time frame of a thousand years is attached. The Old Testament speaks of forever, indicating this Kingdom is going to be eternal.
