Does Old Testament prophecy always include a time frame?

Old Testament prophecy almost always includes a time frame, though not absolutely always. When God gave a promise, He typically placed it within a specified period, naming the day and the number of years involved in that particular prophecy. This shows how explicit God is when He tells the future.

Les explains that the whole period from Abraham until the church age is called the time of prophecy, the prophetic program, or the Old Testament program. True prophecy is telling the future as understood in the Old Testament. Whenever God made a promise, He almost always put it in a time frame—He will name the day and name the number of years involved in that particular prophecy. That is how explicit God is when He can tell the future.
