How is the Body of Christ related to Israel's promises?

The Body of Christ is not associated with the promises given to Israel. Rather, it is the unique outpouring of God's grace upon the Gentile masses, where salvation comes by faith alone in the Gospel, making believers members of Christ's Body. This Church Age truth is a Pauline revelation, a mystery kept secret until revealed to Paul.

Les explains that the Body of Christ is not tied to Israel's promises. Instead, it is that unique outpouring of God's grace upon the Gentile masses, in which a person experiences salvation and becomes a child of God by faith plus faith alone in the Gospel, and thereby becomes a member of the Body of Christ. Meanwhile, Israel has spent about 1900 and some years in spiritual blindness. Even though they may seem religious in Old Testament Judaism, they are blind to much spiritual truth, especially concerning their Messiah the Christ. Since the Body of Christ, what we now know as the Church Age, is strictly a Pauline revelation, it is not found except in Paul's letters. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:51 of a mystery kept secret in the mind of God until He saw fit to reveal it to this Apostle: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
