What is the difference between the Church's promises and Israel's promises?
The Church's promises are heavenly, connected to being delivered from darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son in Heaven. Israel was never told such heavenly promises; Israel's future restoration involves spiritual eyes opened to recognize Messiah, with Israel born in a day after the Church is brought to fullness.
Les explains that the Church is the Body, the Heavenly people, called out with heavenly promises. Colossians 1:13 says God delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, which is in Heaven. Israel was never told something like this. Israel remains in spiritual blindness for almost 2,000 years, but the day is coming when their spiritual eyes will be opened, they will recognize their Messiah, and Israel will be born in a day. Before that happens, the Church must be brought to the full, and then God will finish His program with Israel.
