Why does the Body of Christ have to be removed?
Because the Body of Christ is not associated with prophecy, and all prophecy belongs to Israel, it must be removed so God can resume His prophetic program with the nation. The Church Age is a parenthetical, predominantly Gentile period, revealed through Paul, so it cannot remain during prophecy directed to Israel.
Les teaches that no prophecy associates itself with the church; all prophecy is directed to and connected with the nation of Israel. Since the church age is a parenthetical period slipped in between the prophetic program, and since it is Gentile in nature while prophecy belongs to Israel, it follows that the Body of Christ has to be removed. Les explains that the church is strictly a Pauline revelation: you cannot find the church in the Old Testament, nor the Body of Christ in the Gospels. It is not until Paul receives revelation from the ascended and glorified Lord that this mystery is made known. Because Israel rejected her Messiah, the King, and the Kingdom, God set Israel aside in dispersion and turned to the Gentiles without the nation. The Body of Christ is predominantly Gentile in nature and is not associated with prophecy, so its removal is necessary before prophecy resumes with Israel.
