What is one of the results of salvation in relation to the body of Christ?

One result of salvation is that immediately the Holy Spirit places the believer into the body of Christ. This baptism is an invisible act of God, not performed by any denomination, and it makes the worldwide congregation of genuine born-again people part of Christ's body, uniting Jew and Gentile, bond and free.

Les explains that this baptism is beyond any organization or denomination; only the invisible Almighty Spirit of God can do it. It happens the moment we believe the gospel. One result of salvation is that the Holy Spirit immediately places us into the body of Christ, so the whole worldwide congregation of genuine born-again people becomes part of that body. That is why genuine believers are never strangers very long. Les illustrates this from years ago when he was invited to central Iowa to teach a group of young people he did not know, yet the minute he entered the living room full of kids, it was as if he had known them all his life. That is the beauty of the body of Christ. Since we are baptized into this body by an act of God, an invisible, unfeeling act, we cannot say we felt it being done; we take it by faith. Paul says we are all placed into the body, whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, showing the equalizing factor, weak or strong, rich or poor.
