What comes after the Tribulation ends and Christ returns in Revelation?
Revelation 20 opens the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth, called the Kingdom or Millennium. An angel comes down with the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain, lays hold on the dragon, that old serpent, the devil, Satan, and binds him for a thousand years.
Les teaches that as soon as the Tribulation has ended and Christ has returned, the stage is set for the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth—the Kingdom, or Millennium. Revelation 20:1 pictures an angel coming down from heaven with the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. Les explains that this chain need not be an iron chain to confine a spirit being like Satan, but it will be some sort of material God knows will confine even a spirit being such as Satan. In verse 2, the angel lays hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan, and binds him a thousand years. Les says he is a literalist and believes Satan will be bound and confined for exactly that thousand-year period.
