Who is the god of this world according to Les?
The god of this world is Satan. He is the power behind the entire world system, including its materialism, technology, and human efforts. This system is under his authority, opposes God's people, and will be judged at Christ's return. He is the ruler of this present world order.
Les explains that the god of this world is Satan, and that this whole world system is under his control. He points out that the merchants and money men of this world are not concerned about the welfare of the poor, but about generating wealth, and they have often come down on God's people. This is seen in the millions who lost their lives in World War II, under communism in Russia, and during the Dark Ages. All events associated with Christ's Second Coming are cataclysmic and judgmental, bringing down everything that smacks of materialism, technology, and human effort. The god behind all of this is Satan.
