How will the world system end?
The world system will end calamitously and suddenly, in one day and a matter of hours. Plagues of death, mourning, and famine will come upon it, and it will be utterly burned with fire, because the strong Lord God judges it. This occurs once the seven-year tribulation starts and God's wrath is evident.
Les teaches that this whole world system is coming to an end, and it is closer than most people think. The plagues will come in one day, and he takes it literally as happening in a matter of hours. The world system will calamitously disappear and literally fall. Verse 8 describes death, mourning, famine, and being utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. The world has enjoyed God's grace for almost two thousand years. Disasters like floods and earthquakes are not God's doing but He permits them, and Satan is primarily the god of nature today. However, once the seven-year tribulation starts, God's wrath will be evident as He finally pays mankind for total rebellion and wickedness. Jeremiah also has prophecies concerning Babylon.
