Will Babylon ever be rebuilt?
No, Babylon will never be rebuilt. Scripture says it will never be rebuilt, and that declaration is unequivocal. The Babylon of Revelation is the whole global system—political, economic, and religious—not a literal city that will be reconstructed in the future.
Les teaches that just as the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem was mandated by God to be shut and would never again be opened until Christ returns, and despite many emperors and kings attempting to open it, they never succeeded. In the same way, Scripture says Babylon will never be rebuilt, and Les states unequivocally that it won't be. He explains that the Babylon of the book of Revelation is not a literal city but the whole global system—politically, economically, and religiously intertwined—so that Scripture can call it one city, Babylon.
