Les Feldick Bible Study

What does Les say about the truthfulness of the Word?

The Word is true, and believers must constantly stay in it. It declares that salvation is by grace and faith, plus nothing. When doubt arises about whether one has believed enough, Satan suggests additional requirements, but Christ finished the work and did not die in vain.

Les explains that Galatians constantly shows the difference between law and grace. The Galatian congregations were being submarined by Judaizers who said you cannot be saved by grace alone; you must keep the law and circumcision. Les says we may think that conflict is past, but other just-as-insidious things creep into believers' lives, causing doubt: "Have I believed enough?" As soon as doubt comes, Satan pops in thoughts that maybe you must do this or that. So Les teaches we must constantly stay in the Word, that it is true, and that salvation is by grace and faith, plus nothing. Christ accomplished the work, it is finished, and He did not die in vain.
