Why does Satan call all the armies to the Middle East?
Satan calls all the armies to the Middle East because he believes he can finally and once and for all eliminate the Jewish problem. He gathers them into the land of Israel, not realizing that this will become the final battle between himself and the Almighty God.
Les explains that during the final seven years, all the armies of the world gather into the land of Israel for the battle of Armageddon. Satan feels he can finally and once and for all get rid of the Jewish problem, and that is the main reason he calls the armies to the Middle East. He does not realize this will turn into the final battle between himself and the Almighty God. God then destroys these armies in the land of Israel with a tremendous hailstorm of hundred-pound hailstones. Les also notes the scriptural analogy of bringing grapes into a wine vat, with garments sprinkled with red, and a river of blood and water running as deep as the bridles and horses' bits. Revelation chapter 18 then gives the full view of how the whole world system will come to its end.
