How does Jesus respond when the old accuser constantly accuses us?

When the old accuser of the brethren constantly accuses us, the Lord Jesus constantly comes to our defense. Having by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our advocate, and believers overcome by the blood of the Lamb.

Les explains that even though the old accuser of the brethren has been constantly accusing us, the Lord Jesus constantly comes to our defense. Because He by Himself purged or cleansed our sins, He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high as our advocate. Les then points to Revelation 12:11, where those who have been accused overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, having not loved their lives unto death. He stresses that Scripture never overlooks the blood, though much preaching and teaching leaves it out; it is intrinsic to our faith to believe in the shed blood of the cross of Calvary. He also understands this as referring to the martyrs of all ages, not just the tribulation.
