Where did all pagan religions and false worship originate?
All pagan religions, idolatry, and mythology originated at the Tower of Babel. After the sons of Noah rebelled and refused to scatter, they gathered in Mesopotamia under Nimrod, where false worship contrary to the one-God concept began. From Babel, God scattered them, and idolatry spread across the human race.
Les teaches that about halfway between Noah and the call of Abraham, the Tower of Babel occurred. It was a total rejection of God's instruction to repopulate and scatter. Instead, the sons of Noah rebelled, stayed in the area of the Euphrates in Mesopotamia, and under Nimrod gathered at Babel. That is where all pagan religions began—everything contrary to the one-God concept found in Scripture. Eastern religions, idolatry, and mythology all have their roots at the Tower of Babel. God then scattered them, and idolatry took over the human race.
