What will the coming world religion be like in scope and power?

Les teaches that the great religious system coming on the scene will be satanic, because just being a religion does not mean it is godly. It will be a satanically inspired organization under the guise of religion, headed up by a one-world religious leader identified as the false prophet. Les explains that this leader could very easily be an apostate Jew, noting that it is not unusual for Jews to embrace something other than Judaism. This system will be worldwide and have tremendous power over the everyday individual, and it will be supported by the government of the Antichrist. Earlier in the context, Les also points out that the pagan, idolatrous world has long made life miserable for the true people of God, and that most conflicts have been precipitated by religionists trying to force others out of their area or under their thumb, as seen in the religious situation in Yugoslavia, though politics also becomes part of it.
