Les explains that the Antichrist begins his power base in the revived Roman Empire, in the geographical area around the Mediterranean and Western Europe. He is the political leader of a great world empire. The false prophet, who performs miracles and wonders, does so with the Antichrist's permission and deceives those who dwell on the earth. This unholy trinity of the tribulation will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire.
