How does the false prophet use his religious organization in the end times?
The false prophet uses a great religious organization at his disposal to cause earth's inhabitants to worship the first beast, the Antichrist, rather than the God of creation. Through miracles, wonders, and deceptive power from Satan, he convinces people under his religious umbrella that the counterfeit is the truth.
Les explains that the false prophet will have a great religious organization at his disposal and enough power to convince those under his religious umbrella to worship not the God of creation but the Antichrist, the counterfeit. They will worship the first beast, or that empire whose deadly wound was healed, which Les connects to the Roman empire as the healed beast rather than merely an individual. Les further notes that this false prophet, this religious leader, performs great wonders, even making fire come down from heaven in the sight of men, using miracles and power to convince the human race of who he is. He deceives those who dwell on the earth by those miracles. Les reminds that Satan has power to perform miracles, as Pharaoh's magicians did, and others in the Old Testament economy were able to do it; they will do it again in the tribulation, receiving their power from Satan.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
