What examples show that the Antichrist or false prophet could be a Jew who rises to power over Gentile nations?

Les explains that since Israel will be so quick to accept the Antichrist, his treaty, and his offers of protection, and he will let them have the temple worship, he has to feel the Antichrist will be a Jew, an apostate Jew; otherwise Israel would not so readily accept his offers. He also thinks the false prophet will be an apostate Jew because the Bible's reference to the land, or out of the earth, points to Israel/Palestine, the one land God concerns Himself with. He then answers the objection by noting how often Jews came right up to the throne room of Gentile empires. Moses ascended among the pharaohs of Egypt right next to Pharaoh, having as much power as Pharaoh, if not more, though second in command. Daniel, out in pagan Babylon, was practically the ruler of the kingdom; when Babylon fell, he ended up in the Median-Persian empire right up next to the top.
