Why is Israel's seven-year treaty the time frame for Revelation?

Israel's seven-year treaty establishes the time frame because Revelation deals primarily with the nation of Israel. God is again dealing with His covenant people in preparation for His return. That treaty concerns itself with the time factor for everything taking place, while the Gentile nations are affected but not the primary focus.

Les explains that Revelation deals primarily with the nation of Israel, as God once again deals with His covenant people in preparation for His return. During the tribulation there will be an unholy or counterfeit trinity: Satan counterfeiting God the Father, the Antichrist counterfeiting God the Son, and the false prophet counterfeiting the Holy Spirit, not so much in makeup but in operation. The Antichrist is described as coming up out of the sea, while the false prophet beast comes up out of the earth. Gentile nations will be affected, but it is Israel's seven-year treaty that concerns itself with the time factor and everything taking place.
