Why must Israel be in the Land for the end times and the final seven years?
Israel must be in the Land because the culmination of prophetic Scripture requires it. The final seven years are directed to Israel, so if all Jews were raptured and none remained, prophecy would have no people through whom to be fulfilled. God will not allow His Word to fail.
Les explains that Israel still has its covenant position as God’s favored nation, while individual Jews today are saved on the same level as Gentiles. Yet in the great scheme of things, Israel must be in the Land of Israel for the culmination of the prophetic Scriptures. A young Jewish listener told Les that if all Jews got saved, they would leave at the rapture, and there would be nobody left to fulfill prophecy. Les agreed. Israel has to be in the Land at the end-time scenario for that final seven years, because all prophecy is directed to that. If Israel were taken off the scene, God’s Word would fall apart, and God will not let it happen.
