Les Feldick Bible Study

What modern organization did Les identify as the revived Roman Empire coming onto the scene?

The revived Roman Empire was identified as the European common market, later called the European community—a consortium of ten nations from old Roman Empire territory. It began with seven, grew to ten, and may vary, but will return to ten at the seven-year treaty.

Les teaches that the beast in Revelation 13 is first and foremost the revival of the old ancient Roman Empire. It is called a beast because the government will be so bestial in operation, with no concern for human rights or the individual. The seven heads and ten horns are usually understood as the revived Roman Empire, a consortium of ten nations coming out of old Roman Empire territory. Les explains he thinks this is coming on the scene even in Europe as the common market or the European community. He notes the number may vary: it started in the 70s with seven, then got to ten, and news magazines referred to these nations as the ten. Now it may be up to twelve, possibly fourteen or fifteen, but by the signing of the seven-year treaty it will be back at ten.
