Is it wrong to be frightened by the coming tribulation judgments?
It is not wrong to be frightened by the coming tribulation judgments. Fear may prompt someone to seek God's saving grace and escape those horrors. Scripture plainly says awful, terrible days are coming on the earth, and salvation provides escape, so such fear is reasonable rather than something to avoid.
Les explains that as we look at the awful things about to come upon the earth, there is nothing wrong with the whole concept of literally being scared out of our boots. Fear may prompt someone to seek God's saving grace in order to escape some of these things, and that is one reason it is put in Scripture. He is not one to embellish the fear concept, but when Scripture makes it so plain that these awful, terrible days are coming on the earth, and we can escape by simply partaking of God's salvation, then why not? Why be foolish and spurn so great a salvation only to end up in the horrors coming on the earth? They are coming, and the world is getting ready for it, with little tidbits here and there showing what it will be like.
