Who will the fear and suffering in the tribulation be directed to?
The fear and suffering of the tribulation will be directed primarily to the children of Israel. Scripture describes it as the time of God dealing with the nation of Israel, when the covenants come into fruition. The horrible events will center in the Middle East, but Israel is the primary focus.
Les explains that the tribulation is primarily God dealing with the nation of Israel. You cannot run the church into God's dealing with His covenant people, because the church is not under those covenants; they are Jew only and will finally come into fruition in the tribulation, the time of God dealing with the nation of Israel. He points to Jeremiah 30:5, where there is a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace, and faces turned pale. The horrible events coming on the earth will be centered primarily in the Middle East, and there will be tremendous fear and tremendous suffering like we cannot imagine, directed primarily to the children of Israel.
