How can a person escape the coming tribulation horrors?
A person can escape the coming horrors by partaking of God's salvation through faith in the gospel of salvation. After hearing the word of truth and believing, one is sealed and preserved by the Holy Spirit of promise. Scripture plainly says these awful days are coming, but salvation provides escape.
Les explains that Paul writes to believers, and he emphasizes that after hearing the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—and believing, they were sealed and preserved with the Holy Spirit of promise. Les says the awful, terrible days are coming on the earth, and fear may prompt someone to seek God's saving grace to escape some of these things. He insists these horrors are coming and the world is getting ready for it, but one can escape by simply partaking of God's salvation. He asks why anyone would be foolish and spurn so great a salvation only to end up in those horrors. He directs listeners to 1 Corinthians 15:1 as the most explicit definition of the gospel.
