Les Feldick Bible Study

Will the seven-year tribulation period involve supernatural events on an almost daily basis?

Yes. During the seven-year tribulation, as God deals with the nation of Israel, the supernatural will occur almost every day. These events are beyond the ordinary, including cosmic disturbances and tremendous earthquake activity in the first half, while the second half will be far worse.

Les explains that the life of Samson, the angelic hosts at Christ's birth, and Peter's prison opening by earthquake were supernatural examples. He says when God is dealing with Israel during these seven years, it is the supernatural almost every day—things beyond the ordinary. Verse 13 includes cosmic disturbances: stars fall, heaven departs as a scroll, and mountains and islands are moved, meaning tremendous earthquake activity. This is only the first half; the second half will be far worse. Even rulers, kings, great men, rich men, chief captains, mighty men, bondmen, and free men hide in dens and rocks and plead for death, crying to be hidden from the face of Him on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. Les notes mankind has not seen the wrath of God for 1900 and some years; calamities, earthquakes, and wars are not acts of God's wrath.
