What will the Northern Confederation do when Israel has no real visible defense?
The Northern Confederation of Nations, thought to be headed by Russia, will immediately take advantage of Israel's lack of visible defense. With Israel as a land of unwalled villages, complacent and in a Messiah-like atmosphere, the confederation will seize the opportunity to attack, unlike today when few dare because they fear Israel.
Les explains that Israel will have a treaty guaranteeing her borders, so she will no longer need to maintain a tremendous army and air force. Ezekiel 38 describes this condition as a land of unwalled villages. In ancient times, the city wall was the first line of defense, so unwalled villages meant no defense. Israel will be guaranteed safety by an outside power, but will have no real visible defense. This Northern Confederation of Nations, headed by Russia, will immediately take advantage of this fact. Today hardly anybody dares attack Israel because they know they might get whipped, but then they will see Israel complacent, with an almost Messiah-like atmosphere, no longer fearing enemies.
