Has God given up on Israel?
God has not given up on the nation of Israel. Paul plainly states in Romans chapter 11 that they have not fallen out of God's program. They have only entered a period of being set aside while God turns to the Gentiles, and by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles.
Les teaches that God does not give up on the nation of Israel. The prophetic program was interrupted, and the tribulation did not come in after the crucifixion; in the book of Acts, none of this happens. Paul says plainly in Romans chapter 11 that Israel has not fallen out of God's program. They have merely gone into a period when God sets them aside and turns to the Gentiles, and by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles. Les pictures this as a parenthesis. The book of Acts covers 40 years up to A.D. 70, when Titus destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and the city, and Israel was sent into her dispersion. As in Ezekiel 37, they became like corpses out in the Gentile world. After Israel is dispersed, this period is totally outside a time frame, because prophecy concerning God and Israel is always in a time frame, with 490 years determined upon the people of Israel.
