Does God deliver only the human race or all of creation?
God delivers all of creation, not only the human race. The creation itself was made subject to vanity and the curse because of Adam’s sin, yet it will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Les explains that the creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who subjected it in hope. It wasn’t the creation’s fault that the curse fell; it was Adam’s fault, man’s fault. Just as God promised a Redeemer in Genesis 3:15, the seed of the woman, who is Christ, so the creation itself shall be delivered. Les emphasizes it is not just the human race but all of creation that shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, which is the curse, into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
