What is the new covenant God promised to Israel in Jeremiah 31?

In Jeremiah 31, God promised to make a new covenant with the house of Israel, not like the old covenant of law. Under it, no one must teach the Word or tell them what the law commands; every Israelite will have God's heart within, be obedient, faithful, cleansed from iniquity, and materially blessed.

Les explains that although Israel is presently out of fellowship and called “Not My people,” the day is coming when they will be God’s people. He points to Jeremiah 31:31, where God says He will make a new covenant with the house of Israel. Unlike the old covenant of law, this new covenant means no one will have to be taught the Word of God or told what the law commands. Every Israelite will have the heart of God within them, be an obedient people, a people of faith and believing, cleansed from all their iniquity, and they will prosper materially. Les notes that material blessing was part of Israel’s Old Testament economy when they were obedient, not for us in the New Testament, and Israel will one day be showered with all the blessings of their God.
