What does Jeremiah 31:33 say God will do in the New Covenant with Israel?

Jeremiah 31:33 says God will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel after those days: He will put His law in their inward parts, write it in their hearts, be their God, and they shall be His people.

Les explains that according to the New Covenant, God will again call Israel My people when Israel finally responds at His Second Coming. Jeremiah writes that this is the covenant God will make with the house of Israel after those days: He will put His law in their inward parts, write it in their hearts, be their God, and they shall be His people. Les points out that Israel is not called God's people tonight; they may be religious, but they are not God's people per se. Yet the Day is coming when they will be. God is not through with Israel, and He will complete His prophetic program; His covenant promises have not been forgotten.

Jeremiah 31:33

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
