Who does God make the New Covenant with?

God makes the New Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Scripture states the days are coming when the LORD will make a new covenant with Israel, and no one else. Those in the Age of Grace are not in that covenant relationship, though they enjoy its benefits through God’s fulfillment.

Les explains from Jeremiah 31:31 that God says the days are coming when He will make a new covenant, and that covenant is with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. He notes that many theologians claim believers in the Age of Grace are under the New Covenant, but reading the Bible in plain English, that cannot fly, because God makes this New Covenant with Israel and no one but. Therefore believers cannot be in a covenant that God makes with Israel. Instead, Les says, we enjoy the benefits of everything God did to fulfill this covenant with Israel—the work of the cross, the power of His resurrection, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and all the blessings of this Age of Grace—but it is not a covenant relationship. We are members of the Body of Christ, He is the Head, and we are in the Body, but we are not in a covenant relationship. God is going to make the New Covenant with the house of Israel.
