What happens to governments that try to change the land God designated for His covenant people?

Les explains that the United States government can go to its doom trying to change that, and other governments will go to their doom if they try to change it. He says this is because God has delineated the little strip of ground between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River as the homeland for His covenant people. The teaching then moves to Ezekiel's two sticks—one representing Judah and the southern kingdom, the other Ephraim and the northern kingdom—which become one in his hand.
