Will God change His mind about the land He promised Abraham?

No. God will not change His mind about the land promised Abraham. He deeded it to Abraham and his seed by covenant, and because His calling does not change, Israel will possess the full territory from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates when Christ returns.

Les explains that God made a covenant with Abraham, saying, 'Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.' This was a past-tense promise, deeded to Abraham. Les asks whether God would suddenly change His mind and say, 'No, I'm not going to let you have it?' He answers, 'No way.' Regardless of what Israel does with the land—whether they give it back or fight for it—when Christ returns they will have the whole Middle East as their homeland, all the way from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates, and from Mount Hermon down to the Red Sea. They haven't got it yet, but they will, because the works and calling of God are without His changing His mind.

Genesis 15:18
