Where does the coming ruler sit as God according to Paul?

Paul writes that the coming world ruler will exalt himself above all that is called God or worshipped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God. That temple will be rebuilt and located in Jerusalem, where he will oppose and exalt himself.

Les explains that Paul is writing concerning this world ruler that is going to come on the scene. In verse 4, this ruler will oppose and exalt himself. Les connects this to Daniel, who said the ruler will worship the God of forces and exalt himself as God. Paul is right in line with that, saying he exalts himself above all that is called God or worshipped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God. That temple will be rebuilt and on the scene in Jerusalem. Les also notes that when we go back to Daniel, we will see how we know the temple will be rebuilt.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
