Who comes before the Ancient of Days and takes the scroll from God the Father in Daniel 7 / Revelation 5?
The Lamb, the Christ, the Son of God, comes before the Ancient of Days and takes the scroll—called the mortgage—from God the Father. He alone is worthy because of His death, burial, and resurrection. He pays off the curse and redeems people to God from every kindred, tongue, people, and nation.
Les explains from Revelation chapter 5 that the Lamb, the Christ, the Son of God, comes before the Ancient of Days according to Daniel and takes that mortgage from the hand of God the Father. In so many words, He says, “I’ll pay it off.” What He pays off is the curse that the world has been under since Genesis chapter 3. He pays off Satan’s mortgage, and He alone can do it because of His death, burial, and resurrection, making Him worthy. In Revelation 5:8, when He had taken the scroll, the four creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before Him, each having harps. In verse 9 they sang a new song, saying He is worthy to take the scroll and open its seals because He was slain and crucified and redeemed them to God out of every kindred, tongue, people, and nation, making them kings and priests, with the promise that they shall reign on the earth. Les connects this to the seven years of tribulation, when Satan will have his final time.
