How much longer will the misery of the world last?

The misery of the world is just about over. The curse that began in Genesis 3 will end when Christ pays off Satan's mortgage through His death, burial, and resurrection. The seven-year tribulation is Satan's final time, after which Christ's redemption brings the promised reign on earth.

Les explains that when we see the misery going on in the world, we wonder how much longer it will last, and the answer is that it is just about over. The curse has been on the world ever since Genesis chapter 3, and now it is time to end it. As the Lamb, Christ comes before the Ancient of Days, takes the mortgage from the hand of God the Father, and says He will pay it off—paying off the curse. He alone can do it because of His death, His burial, and His resurrection, and He is worthy. This is the whole reason for the seven years of the tribulation, Satan's final time. The promise is that the redeemed shall reign on the earth.
