How is the new heaven and new earth like the millennium?
The new heaven and new earth will mirror the millennium because Scripture describes the same set of circumstances as those seen during the thousand-year rule and reign. Both follow the sovereign God's kingdom established on earth, though the millennium ends in turmoil before the new heaven and new earth appear.
Les teaches that the kingdom God sets up in the days of those kings is the same kingdom He has been talking about from day one—a kingdom that shall never be destroyed. Revelation places a time element on that kingdom: a thousand years, which is why it is called the millennium. That thousand-year rule and reign will end through the providential acts of a sovereign God, and everything will go through great turmoil.
