Can anything live in the Dead Sea today?
No, nothing can live in the Dead Sea today. It is currently a saltwater sea, but Scripture foretells a future day when living waters from Jerusalem will flow into it, making it fresh and supporting every species of fish that the Mediterranean has.
Les explains that when Christ returns to the Mount of Olives and Jerusalem, living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half toward the Mediterranean and half toward the Dead Sea. He notes that Ezekiel says the Dead Sea will have every species of fish that the Mediterranean has now, so it will no longer be a saltwater sea but living water.
