Will the stone kingdom fill the whole earth or just the land of Israel?
The stone kingdom will fill the whole earth, not merely the land of Israel. As the stone smites the image and becomes a kingdom, Scripture says it fills the whole earth. This kingdom is spiritual, physical, and political, established on earth with Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords over all the earth.
Les teaches that the kingdom is the kingdom, whether spiritual, physical, or political. When the stone smites all the metals of the image, they become like dust or chaff that the wind blows away. Then the stone becomes a kingdom, and the last words of verse 35 indicate that this kingdom is not confined to the land of Israel but fills the whole earth. Les emphasizes that this kingdom will be set up on the earth, with Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords over the whole earth. It will be a kingdom of righteousness, holiness, and sinlessness, with no death and no curse, making it spiritual as well. He also points to Isaiah 11, where the wolf and lamb dwell together and children play among wild animals, demonstrating its physical nature. Thus the one and only kingdom fills the whole earth.
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
