Where will believers be when Christ returns and establishes the kingdom on earth?
When Christ returns at His second coming and establishes the kingdom on the earth, believers will be with Him. They are already translated into the kingdom of His dear Son, and at that future establishment they will be with Him.
Les explains that because Christ is no longer on the earth and the kingdom of heaven is no longer at hand, the kingdom went with Him into heaven. Scripture presents two entities: Israel, the earthly people of God, and the church, the heavenly people of God. Paul writes to Gentile believers in Colossians chapter 1 that the Father has already delivered believers from the power of darkness and translated them into the kingdom of His dear Son. So if you are a child of God, you are in the kingdom now; and when Christ comes at His second coming and sets up the kingdom on the earth, believers will be with Him.
