Will the Antichrist demand worship of his own image like Nebuchadnezzar?
Yes. The last great world ruler, the Antichrist, is going to do the same thing Nebuchadnezzar did: demand that the then-known world worship one image. Nebuchadnezzar made a golden image of himself and required universal worship, showing the pattern the Antichrist will repeat.
Les teaches that Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was likely a catalyst for what he does in Daniel chapter 3. Having forgotten what Daniel said and being filled with his own power and self, Nebuchadnezzar wanted to unite all those pagan religions into the worship of one image, which would be of himself. Les then explains that the last great world ruler, the Antichrist, is going to do the same thing, and that is what ties it together. The image was made of gold, sixty cubits—about ninety feet—high and six cubits—about nine feet—wide. Nebuchadnezzar set it on the Middle Eastern desert sands and demanded that his whole then-known world worship that image.
